Samer Raad is a dedicated peace advocate with over two decades of experience in promoting harmony and resolving. He is Passionate about community building, Samer sees working with communities to educating youth about non-violent conflict resolution is his priority.

Farhad Barakat

Co-Founder and Area Coordinator

Rathwan is an accomplished journalist, translator, and interpreter, dedicated to human rights, especially for the Ezidi people in Iraq. With extensive experience in project management, leadership, and peace building, he has worked with local and international organizations in IDP camps in Kurdistan and Sinjar since 2015, aiding ISIL survivors.

Jiliana Kano

Co-Founder and Support team Officer

Juliana from Duhok, 31 years old, a graduate of the University of Duhok, College of Physics. I work as a high school teacher. I met the Peace Camp group through the second camp held in Duhok. Through my participation, I wanted to continue with the Progress in Peace organization and promote peace in the community.

Ali Salman

IT & Communication officer

Ali Salman is an entrepreneur and tech project developer passionate about community development and peacebuilding. He focuses on educating university students on community peace concepts and has worked for two years with companies and organizations to develop students' skills for the private sector. His goal is to spread peace, development, and improve communities.

Rathwan Dakheel

Co-Founder and Program Manager

Rathwan is a peacemaker and interpreter who connects with diverse cultures and communities, striving to understand and alleviate suffering. Through NGOs, he aims for high expectations and targets. Despite global conflicts, he believes in the enduring need for peacemakers and commits to being there for those in need.

Zeena

Program Manager

Zeina, 26, from Duhok, is a graduate of the College of Languages and a sales manager at a commercial company. Her passion for peace began with volunteering for the Progress in Peace (PIP) organization. She is dedicated to supporting peace projects and aspires to become a teacher.
